Prophecy no.6
Been searching worlds
Sprinting through words
Marinating in the corner of my eyes
The shadow of your chords
Built trust with tension across the vanquished worlds
Stepped out to be one
To be the obedient pawn
To be more than just one
I am Circe, I am Cassandra, I am every witch who couldn't save their loved one
I bowed to the gods, paved ways for their wars
shall the day come for the gods to be not on the top
I would rejoice and pray for a month
When the heart races and the mind begins its restless pondering while the earth beneath one’s feet trembles, my thoughts turn only to this damned religion and to the ruin wrought by those who cling to a handful of Timeworn words. on similar circumstances, I would've opened Spotify and played my all the time fav playlist called "holy trinity of religious trauma." while I do not remember the exact number of songs it contained, nor the names of the songs it had, the singers included in it were Hozier, Ethel Cain, and my glorious queen, Florence. It would always find a way to ease my troublesome mind and made me bawl my eyes out into my mama-made silk pillow back in dorms, I would lie on my back, thinking about the meanings buried in the songs, the order in which they were placed and the private sorrows the unseen creator of that Playlist must have carried, this usually continued till I found a fanfic suited for my taste with the tags I've been looking for. something small enough to cradle the emptiness of the night and gentle enough to carry me into sleep. I miss my little Catacomb ,my Tower of Silence ,where the pink curtains kept the world at bay, and a small, stubborn peace kept watch over me
.It may take a moment for both the song and the pic to load
Tell me once again I could have been anyone, anyone else Before you made the choice for me
We could have been anywhere, anywhere else Instead, I made a bed with apathy
We could have had anything, anything else Instead, you hoarded all that's left of me Swallowin' your doubt Like swords to the pit of my belly
